ASHLAND, Ohio— The Lake Erie College track and field teams continued their 2015 outdoor season against some of the top competition in the country at the Ashland Alumni Meet Saturday (April 25).
Sean Stone (Newton Falls, Ohio/Southeast) placed eighth in the hammer throw with a toss of 56.17 meters. Douglas Moorer (Copley, Ohio/Copley) finished sixth in the discus invitational section with a toss of 51.75 meters.
Joe Postwaite (Rochester, N.Y./Gates Chili) won the high jump, clearing 2.00 meters. Postwaite was also victorious in the triple jump with a leap of 15.00 meters.
Jordan Sensabaugh placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.25 seconds. Andrew Kemer (Medina, Ohio/Medina) finished sixth with a time of 50.0 seconds. Shavon Thompson (St. Andrew, Jamaica/Ardenne) placed eighth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.07 seconds. Jake Graham (Gomer, Ohio/Columbus Grove) took sixth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 16:00.16.
Danielle Corbin (Atlanta, Ga.) placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 5.30 meters. Destiny Prusky (Newton Falls, Ohio/Newton Falls) took third in the high jump, clearing 1.70 meters. Asya Hobbs (Lynwood, Ill./Bishop Noll) placed seventh in the event, clearing 1.60 meters.
Ariana Jorgensen (Kleinburg, Ont./Emily Carr Secondary) finished sixth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.01 seconds. Ashley Pryce (Stow, Ohio/Stow Munroe Falls) placed third in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.74. Sara Moore (Amherst, Ohio/Amherst) finished just behind Pryce with a time of 1:05.50.
The Storm compete again at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships April 29-May 1 at Hillsdale College.
