PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College track and field team will open their indoor season Saturday (Dec. 2) when they travel to compete in the Tiffin Alumni Open.
Interim Head Coach Matt Stuck said, "Everyone is really excited for this meet. For the freshman, this will be their first college meet, which always brings lots of fun and excitement. We have a great group of talented freshman that I think can have an impact at the G-MAC Championship. As for the upperclassman this is the measuring stick for how the offseason training went. The cross country athletes are eager to get back on the track after a very good cross country season with everyone running personal bests at the end of our season. Overall, the team looks very different than it did a year ago, and everyone wants to step up and be the next great athlete at Lake Erie. We should see some excellent competition this weekend, which gives us a good opportunity to showcase what we are bringing to the new conference".
Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the track after a long layoff, as they will be back in action Friday (Jan. 12) when they travel to Findlay.
