Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season at Muskingum

(MUSKINGUM, Ohio) – The outdoor track & field season got underway this weekend and saw Lake Erie travel south to Muskingum for the Amy Adams Invitational.

Brandon Bryan was the top placer for Lake Erie as he came in second in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. He picked up eight points after he finished with a time of 10:28.80 seconds. Joseph Elson Jr. also got off to a great start on the year as he finished third in the 400 meter dash. He picked up six after he crossed the finish line with a time of 50.81.

On the women's side, Lauren Pagan placed in the discus event as she finished eighth with a throw of 34.32 meters for a new PR. Pagan also hit a PR in the hammer by four meters with a throw of 30.06.

The Storm will be back in action a week from today as they travel down to Cedarville for the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open.

The G-MAC Preseason Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour was also released this weekend with both men's and women's teams picked to finish ninth. Hillsdale was picked as the favorite on the women's side while Tiffin was chosen at the top spot for the men.
