PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- Following her outstanding individual season, Lake Erie College center Stephanie Rogers (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) was named to a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) postseason all-star teams by the league's coaches on Friday (March 4).
Rogers was named to the GLIAC All-South Division Second Team and the South Division All-Defensive Team in the Storm's first year as a conference member.
The 6-1 junior led the team in nearly every statistical category in 2010-11, averaging 15.0 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. She led the conference in blocked shots, averaging 3.2 per game, was fourth in scoring, seventh in rebounding, eighth in steals (1.8/game) eighth in free throw shooting (82.3%) and 10th in field goal percentage (50.8%).
During the season, Rogers had six games with at least 20 points and also posted five double-doubles. She ended the year just 26 points shy of 1,000 for her career and 45 blocked shots shy of the all-time school record. She also ranks in the top ten in school history in field goals made, free throws made, rebounds and steals.
