PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College women's basketball team will travel to Roberts Wesleyan College for a pair of games as a part of the Redhawk Alumni Classic. The Storm will face the Daemen Wildcats on Friday (Nov. 17) at 8:00 PM. Lake Erie will complete the weekend with a game against Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday (Nov. 18) at 12:00 PM.
Storm Report: Lake Erie is 1-1 after the Storm split the two games in the G-MAC/GLIAC Challenge, held at the Osborne Center. The Storm defeated the Tiffin Dragons 78-60 but fell to the Wayne State Warriors 76-54. Josie Chaddock (Minerva, Ohio / Minerva) leads the Storm with 16.5 points per game, including 17 against the Dragons.
Opposition Position: Daemen is 2-0 after opening the season at the East Region Tip-Off. The Wildcats defeated Nyack College 67-48 in their last game. Tiara Filbert is the leading scorer for Daemen with 11.5 points per game. Roberts Wesleyan hosted the East Region Tip-Off last weekend and split the two games. The Redhawks fell to American International 66-52 in the second game of the weekend. Taya Andrews is the Redhawks' leading scorer with a team-high 12.5 points per game.
Series History: The Storm and the Wildcats have met twice on the court. Daeman has won both matchups, including a 73-59 win on New Year's Eve of last season. Lake Erie participated at the Redhawk Alumni Classic last season and the Storm fell to Roberts Wesleyan 78-69 in the series only meeting thus far.
Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will travel to Bluefield State on Tuesday (Nov. 28) for a nonconference matchup.
