NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Lake Erie College women's basketball team lost to the Walsh University Cavaliers with a final score of 84-47. With the loss, the Storm fell to 11-15 with a conference record of 8-13. With the win, the Cavs rose to 21-6 overall with a conference record of 17-14, and are tied for the top spot in the conference heading into the home stretch before playoffs.
The Storm was no match for a Cavs out for vengence tonight, defending their home court against a Storm team that had taken a win from them in January, out-performing the Storm in every category. The only silver lining for Lake Erie was that they only had 12 turnovers, which is 22 less turnovers committed than their last game against Tiffin.
Leading the Storm tonight was junior Josie Chaddock, recording 17 points with five defensive rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
Farrah Benner led the reserves with ten points and two defensive rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
The Storm heads to Malone on Saturday, Mar. 2 for an afternoon matchup against Malone in the 2019 season finale. Tip off is scheduled for 1pm.
