PAINESVILLE, Ohio-The Lake Erie College will continue the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) slate with two conference matchups this weekend. The Storm will host the Tiffin University Dragons on Friday (April 21) in the home finale and will travel to face the University of Findlay Oilers on Sunday (April 23).
Storm Report: Lake Erie is 8-2 overall and 1-2 in the GLIAC. The Storm snapped a two game slide when the team rallied for a 14-8 win over Walsh in their last game out. Three different players scored three goals each as the Storm rallied from a four goal deficit with seven straight goals. Taylor Mathis (Corning, N.Y. / Corning) leads the Storm with 36 goals scored in the season.
Opposition Position: Tiffin comes to Painesville with a 9-3 overall record and a 3-0 GLIAC mark. The Dragons defeated the Oilers 12-6 in their last contest. Morgan Sherley leads the Dragons with 27 goals scored. Findlay is currently 6-7 overall and 1-2 in the GLIAC. The Oilers will face Walsh before the Storm faces the Oilers on Sunday. Kyra Bradley is the Oilers' leading scorer with 34 goals scored this season.
Series History: Lake Erie has faced Tiffin ten times in the series history. The Dragons have won six of the ten matchups as Tiffin swept both matchups in 2016. Lake Erie is 2-4 against the Oilers in the six matchups so far. Findlay won all three matchups with the Storm last season.
Storm Forecast: The Storm will conclude the 2017 regular season with a roadtrip to face Grand Valley State and Northern Michigan next weekend.
