PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College women's lacrosse team had one player named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaching Association (IWCLA). Taylor Mathis was named Third team All-Region, and is the first student-athlete to receive an All-Region honor in program history.
Mathis returned to the field this season after her previous season was cut short due to injury. She led the Storm offense as she netted 59 goals which was tops on the team. Mathis had her best game late in the season as she found the back of the net nine times in an overtime win at Findlay. Mathis finished third in the conference in goals and seventh in the conference in points as she had 63 points.
Head Coach Mallory Ferrandiz said "We are so proud of Taylor. She worked extremely hard this year and the recognition is well deserved".
