(TIFFIN, Ohio) - On the eve of the semifinals, the G-MAC announced its all-conference teams on Wednesday evening and a pair of Storm student-athletes were named. Anna Spin repeated her spot as a First Team selection while Riley Heffron was named as a Second Team choice.
Last year's Offensive Player of the Year was a no-brainer for First Team accolades once again. Spin scored 47 goals and 19 assists for 66 points. She was fifth in points per game in the G-MAC with 4.4, sixth in goals per game with 3.13, and ninth in assists with 1.27. Spin was also a leader on the draw as her 4.87 draw controls were also fifth in the conference. She was also dangerous from eight meters as her 20 free-position goals and 1.33 per game mark were third in the league.
Heffron was also a leader on the offensive end with 42 points on 33 goals and nine assists. Her goals count was second on team and her points were third. The sophomore proved to be a clutch player as she scored four game-winning goals on the campaign, the second-most in the league. She was last year's G-MAC Freshman of the Year and an Honorable Mention selection.
Lake Erie will be in action tomorrow as the No. 4 seed in the tournament. The Storm will take on top-seeded Tiffin in the opening game at 10 a.m.
