2010:  Named to 2010 GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team...

2009: Sophomore appeared in all 20 games – 15 as a goalkeeper – and made 10 starts… held a 2.01 goals against average in 15 games as a goalkeeper… also made 79 saves on the season… stopped a season-high 17 shots at Urbana on Oct. 25 in a 2-1 loss… earned a 2-1 win over Charleston (W. Va.), making eight saves… played all 110 minutes as the keeper in a 2-2 draw against Shepherd, finishing the game with six saves… ended the year with a 3-5-1 record… scored two goals on just five shots on goal as a forward… scored the game-deciding goal in a 2-1 win against Point Park on Sept. 4… also scored in a 5-0 win over Ohio Valley on Sept. 26.

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Participated in four years of soccer and basketball and two years of track at North Valley High School... Was named All-State and second-team All-Skyland Conference... honorable mention All-Conference in basketball

PERSONAL: Born June 23, 1990... a chemistry major… plans to attend medical school following graduation...daughter of James and Marianne Giesen... brother wrestles at Stanford University.
