PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College volleyball team will close out the home portion of the 2016 schedule with a GLIAC matchup with the Ohio Dominican University Panthers on Tuesday (Nov. 1) night. The matchup with the Panthers will serve as Senior Night.
Storm Report: The Storm has a season record of 16-13 and a GLIAC record of 7-5 following a split in their tri-match on Saturday (Oct. 29). Lake Erie swept Wayne State 3-0 in the first matchup before they fell 3-1 to Wheeling Jesuit, the defending Division II National Champions.
GLIAC Playoff Push: With four conference matches to go, Lake Erie is currently in a four-way tie for fifth place in the GLIAC standings. With a 7-5 record, Lake Erie is tied with Grand Valley St., Ashland and Michigan Tech. The top eight teams earn a spot in the GLIAC Tournament.
Series History: Lake Erie snapped a ten match losing streak to Ohio Dominican when the Storm swept the Panthers 3-0 back on September 27th on the road.
Opposition Position: The Panthers are 8-14 overall and 3-9 in the GLIAC for the 2016 season. Ohio Dominican fell to Findlay 3-0 on Saturday (Oct. 29).
Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will head to Ashland University on Friday (Nov. 4) for a GLIAC matchup.
