SPRINGFIELD, Ohio— The Lake Erie College cross country teams had their best outing of the season at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Cedarville University Friday (Oct. 3).
48 Ohio colleges and universities participated in the women's 6K and the men's 8k events.
"Today's field of runners consisted of the top Division I, II, III and NAIA talent in all of Ohio," said Storm Head Coach Matt Reneker. "That level of competition helped push us to our best performance of the season."
All four female runners for the Storm put up their top-times this season in the 503 runner field. Gina Henley led the way for the Storm with a time of 26:18.70 to place 311th. Alexandria Gagne had the second-best finish for the Storm, placing 371st with a time of 27:16.68. Taylor Ritchie took 442nd with a time of 29:07.69 while Emily Kotfis took 457th with a time of 29:31.98.
Vincent Horning had the top finish for the Storm men, placing 172nd with a time of 27:16.88 in the 569 runner field. Jacob Godec finished in 387th with a time of 29:30.90. Steven White placed 469th with a time of 31:08.02.
The Storm runners are back in action Oct. 18th at the Wilmington Fall Classic.
