ERIE, Pa.— The Lake Erie College cross country team competed at the Behrend Invitational hosted by Penn State-Behrend Saturday (April 19) in Erie, Pa.
The men ran an 8k while the women ran a 5k.
Dalton Graham (Gomer, Ohio/Columbus Grove) had the top finish for the Storm men, finishing third overall with a time of 26:41.8. Vince Horning (Stow, Ohio/Stow) finished 10th with a time of 27:18.9. Brandon Green (Eastlake, Ohio/North) took 24th with a time of 28:23.8. Jordan Pitchard (Painesville, Ohio/Lake Catholic) was just behind Green in 25th with a time 28:24.3. George Lesnak (Mantua, Ohio/Crestwood) rounded out the Storm scoring, placing 29th with a time of 28:33.7.
The men's top-five combined for a total time of 3:17:05.3, placing third out of 15.
Taylor Ritchie (Salem, Ohio/United Local) had the top finish for the Storm, placing 19th with a time of 21:13.5. Aleea Volkman (Wauseon, Ohio/Wauseon) took 27th with a time of 21:47.3. Aneesa Volkman (Wauseon, Ohio/Wauseon) finished in 29th with a time of 21:57.7. Hailey Wetzel (Willoughby, Ohio/Willoughby South) placed 34th with a time of 22:14.2. Hailey VanHoy (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) rounded out scoring for the women, taking 44th with a time of 22:48.2.
The women's top-five combined for a time of 1:50:01.2, finishing seventh out of 17.
The Storm is back in action Oct. 2 at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Cedarville University.
